Málaga, Andalusia, Spain: The People’s Party (PP) wants to govern alone after Spain’s 29 November election, but it is talking to Vox about the parliamentary majorities it may need. Elías Bendodo, the PP’s lead candidate for Málaga, sets out that position at a political breakfast on Friday 23 October 2026.

The talks concern majorities in both the Congress of Deputies and the Senate. Bendodo points to PP-Vox governing deals in four autonomous communities, including Andalusia, and says they are working. Even so, he says governing alone remains his party’s aim.

Bendodo asks voters to give the PP a chance, arguing that its leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has experienced people around him. He says more than the result for any one party is at stake in the election: Spain’s model of success over the past 40 years. If the talks with Vox lead to an agreement, Bendodo says it will be announced.
