Spain fuel prices: petrol falls, diesel climbs
In Spain, a 55-litre diesel fill-up now costs €104.39, €26.78 more than a year ago: diesel rises this week while petrol falls again. Figures published on 5 November 2026 in the European Union’s Oil Bulletin put diesel at €1.898 a litre and petrol at €1.729 a litre. Those are Spain-wide averages, not separate prices for Mallorca.
Petrol falls as diesel turns upwards
Petrol is down 1.25% on last week, its fifth weekly fall in a row. It has become almost 11% cheaper since early October, after 13 consecutive rises from June.
Diesel has gone the other way. Its price is up 0.58% this week, ending four weeks of falls.
Filling up still costs more than last year
At this week’s average prices, 55 litres of petrol costs €95.09, or €13.58 more than a year ago. The same amount of diesel costs €104.39, up €26.78 on a year ago.
The government’s fuel tax cut remains at 20 cents per litre for both fuels in November, rather than falling to the planned 13 cents. The larger cut stays in place because the measure’s 15% price-rise threshold has been exceeded. A cut to 6 cents is scheduled for December, with a safeguard if oil prices remain high.
