On Tuesday, stolen headphones beep inside a hostel in Eivissa on Ibiza: officers find a man wearing them and arrest him and another man on suspicion of theft. The National Police say the owner had reported several belongings stolen from his car and tracked the headphones to the hostel.
Officers went there with him and switched on the headphones’ sound alert. They heard it inside and found the man wearing them. Asked where he got them, he gave different accounts. Officers then identified a second man who was with him.
In a separate room at the hostel, officers found a tool backpack the owner also recognised as stolen. The items identified during the operation were worth around €2,400, according to police.
