Mallorca storm death: Felanitx orders 24-hour mourning

Felanitx in Mallorca is observing 24 hours of official mourning after a woman drowned during Wednesday's storm. She fell in a street in the municipality before her death. Felanitx Town Hall has ordered flags on municipal buildings to fly at half-mast.
Silence planned on Friday
The town hall has called a minute's silence for Friday at 12.00. It is being held in mourning for the woman and as a mark of respect for her family and loved ones.
Sant Nicolau events called off
Thursday's Sant Nicolau de Cas Concos events have been cancelled, including the tardeo and a planned theatre performance. The performance will be rescheduled, with the new date to be announced later.
