Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, faces heavy showers and thunderstorms on Saturday: a yellow weather warning runs from 12.00 to 20.00. Menorca has the same warning and hours. Ibiza and Formentera face an orange warning from 11.00 to 15.00, according to Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet.

Aemet expects very heavy showers and thunderstorms across the Balearic Islands, particularly in the afternoon. Hail is also possible. Cold air high above the islands and moisture from the Mediterranean are behind the unsettled forecast.

Daytime highs are expected to fall across the islands. Easterly winds will be moderate along the coast.
