Mallorca storms: heavy rain and hail possible on Wednesday

Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, faces a significant risk of rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday, 7 October. Downpours across the islands could be locally very heavy, with occasional hail. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet, has issued warnings for rain and thunderstorms across the Balearics and rates the risk on Mallorca as significant.
A stretch of low pressure is bringing unsettled weather across Spain. Cloudy or overcast skies and rain are expected across much of the mainland and the Balearics.
On Wednesday morning, mist and fog are possible on the islands. Moderate winds will blow from the west and south.
