Mallorca: Emaya cuts scrub along 302.8 km of streets
In Palma on Mallorca, Emaya cuts back scrub along 302.8 kilometres of streets in September. The municipal company also clears 34,316 square metres of land, working on main streets, in neighbourhoods, industrial estates and schools.
Palma City Council said on Thursday, 22 October 2026, that recent work had reached Son Oliva, Son Gotleu, La Bonanova and es Coll d'en Rabassa. Emaya also worked in the Son Morro and Llevant industrial estates and at schools including Sagrado Corazón and Alexandre Rosselló.
The cutting is part of Emaya's routine work across Palma's road network, from main streets to quieter roads. Its plan also covers public plots, car parks, pedestrian passages and dog exercise areas. Work has continued in October in neighbourhoods including Can Pastilla, Son Ferriol and Santa Catalina.
