Over 100 advisers across Balearics learn job guidance tools

More than 100 guidance professionals from the Balearic Islands employment service SOIB and third-sector organisations are spending 21 to 24 September trying out new ways to support people looking for work. The four-day Talent ON training week centres on finding, assessing and building skills through group activities and practical exercises that advisers can take into their daily work. The Balearic Islands Centre for Guidance, Entrepreneurship, Support and Innovation for Employment launched the programme.

Carlos Bella and Ángela Periáñez are leading hands-on workshops using game-style tools and participatory activities. These include Talento y Punto, HexaTalent and Piensa en Competencias.

The exercises are intended to help users of guidance and employment services understand themselves better, make decisions and improve their career guidance process. The Balearic Islands Ministry of Labour, Public Function and Social Dialogue says the initiative gives professionals fresh tools to meet today’s labour-market challenges and support personal and professional development.
