Mallorca taxi driver on trial over alleged sex attack
Mallorca: A taxi driver goes on trial on Monday, 2 November 2026, accused of sexually assaulting a drunk passenger. Prosecutors seek ten years in prison and €10,000 in compensation for the woman. The hearing is set for 10am before the First Section of the Provincial Court in Palma, Mallorca.
According to the prosecution, the driver picked up the woman in the early hours of 29 October 2023. She sat in the front passenger seat, where he allegedly began touching her sexually. She became so frightened that she wet herself, prosecutors say.
The driver stopped so she could get out and dry herself. Prosecutors allege that he then touched her genitals again and penetrated her with his fingers.
