Menorca tech projects offered grants of around 70%
Menorca tech projects could receive grants covering around 70 per cent of eligible costs: CentreBit Menorca has opened a funding round for business projects worth between one and four million euros. The island’s businesses can seek funding for work on digital technology, clean and efficient technology, or biotechnology.
The Department of Economy, Finance and Innovation said on Monday, 26 October, that the Interconnecta Step Feder scheme is for groups of companies from different Spanish autonomous communities. Each group must include a small or medium-sized business and a technology or knowledge centre. Under the scheme’s conditions, applicants may also be able to receive an advance of up to 60 per cent.
Traditional businesses and service companies can take part if they use technology to tackle industrial, energy, environmental or production challenges. At an information session, Fundación Bit’s Alicia Domingo presented its PIDI network and the support it offers firms seeking innovation funding. Companies also met CDTI staff individually to ask whether their projects met the grant requirements.
