Mallorca's Alaró theatre gets €23,600 floor and stage work
Mallorca’s Alaró town council spends €23,600 on its municipal theatre, replacing worn parquet in the seating area after more than ten years of use. The council announced the work on Thursday, 1 October, saying the floor had reached the end of its useful life.
The work also includes minor repairs around the stage, replacement floor lights and a fresh coat of paint on the back of the stage. Mayor Lorenç Perelló says the theatre is important to cultural life in Alaró and needs to stay in good condition to keep hosting activities and performances. Culture councillor Cati Cifre says the building had maintenance work outstanding, particularly the flooring.
