Toledo train crash: Meliá boss demands answers

A train crash in Urda, in Spain’s Toledo province: Meliá Hotels International boss Gabriel Escarrer calls for a thorough investigation on 28 October and voices support for the victims and their families. In a post on X, he calls the accident an “inexplicable tragedy” and thanks volunteers and emergency services.
Escarrer, the company’s chairman and chief executive, wants an investigation now to establish what caused the crash. Europa Press reported his comments from Palma, Mallorca.
