A young woman from Mallorca is among those injured in a train crash in Toledo, Spain, on Wednesday. Balearic president Marga Prohens says she is believed to be out of danger. The Balearic government contacted the Castilla-La Mancha regional government on Wednesday morning and offered emergency personnel. Prohens said none needed to be sent. She also offered support to the young woman’s family.

Around 100 people joined representatives of Balearic institutions and political parties at Plaça de Cort in Palma to remember those killed and others affected by the crash. Prohens said some families were still waiting for news of loved ones. Francina Armengol, president of Spain’s Congress of Deputies, voiced support for the families of those killed, injured and missing, and thanked emergency workers.
