Two tourism platforms gain a Spanish security certificate: the seal gives destinations, public bodies and businesses extra assurance about how information and services are handled. State tourism body Segittur announced the certification in Madrid on 7 October 2026.

The certificate covers medium-category systems on Segittur’s Smart Destinations Platform (PID) and Open Innovation Platform (PIA) under Spain’s National Security Scheme (ENS). Segittur says it shows that the platforms manage information and services to recognised security requirements aligned with those of Spanish public administrations.

PID helps destinations access data, information and digital services to improve how they operate. PIA supports collaboration and exchange between tourism and technology organisations.

Segittur president Enrique Martínez said cyber security and protecting information matter to tourism’s digital development. The organisation also holds UNE-EN-ISO/IEC 27001:2023 certification. According to Segittur, that recognises its structured system for identifying and managing information risks, with a framework for continuing to improve protection against possible threats.
