Mallorca tourism: Prohens takes limits project to London
Mallorca’s hotel federation joins talks with TUI in London on Tuesday before Balearic president Marga Prohens presents a project on containing tourism. She is due to present it with Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Jaume Bauzá at the World Travel Market 2026 at 11.00. The project is titled “Transforming the model, containing tourism and culture”. No details of its measures are given in the programme.
The day begins at 09.30 with the TUI meeting. Bauzá, representatives of the island councils and the mayor of Calvià, Mallorca, are also due to attend. At 10.15, Prohens is scheduled to visit other exhibitors at the Balearic Islands stand, including councils from Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera, town halls and Balearic businesses.
