Mallorca Tramontana: winds ease through Saturday

Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, starts Saturday with moderate Tramontana winds. The wind eases as the day goes on, according to the State Meteorological Agency, Aemet. The forecast covers a largely dry day with little cloud or clear skies across most of Spain.
The wind picture is tougher elsewhere. Strong Levante winds, with very strong gusts, are expected around the Strait of Gibraltar and in other parts of Cádiz. The Canary Islands may also see strong winds and possibly very strong gusts.
Moderate Tramontana is also forecast for Ampurdán before weakening. Light winds are expected in the rest of Spain, mainly from the east and north.
