A Palma travel agent faces trial on Wednesday at 09.45 over €8,274 allegedly kept from five customers’ holiday bookings. The First Section of the Balearic Provincial Court will hear the case. Prosecutors say the money was paid for cruises and family trips, some of which were later cancelled.

The man ran a franchised travel agency in Palma between late 2019 and mid-2020, according to the prosecution. He sold services provided by the company and received a commission.

Prosecutors allege he kept payments for bookings rather than entering them into the sales management system or passing them to the company. They are seeking a two-year prison sentence for alleged misappropriation and repayment of the €8,274.
