TRIA pasta mustard alert issued by AESAN
Madrid, 17 August 2026 — Spain’s Food Safety and Nutrition Agency (AESAN) has issued a TRIA pasta mustard alert over undeclared mustard in its ‘Cabello de ángel’ angel-hair pasta. The warning applies to batch L10/2025SHN, with a best-before date of 16 October 2027.
The product was initially distributed in Andalusia, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Murcia and the Basque Country. AESAN said it could have been redistributed to other autonomous communities.
The alert has been passed through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information so that the affected products can be withdrawn from sale.
AESAN advises anyone allergic to mustard who has the pasta at home not to eat it. It said the product poses no risk to the rest of the population.
