Mallorca warms as tropical nights do not dip below 20C

Mallorca warms on Monday, 14 September, while parts of the Balearic Islands face tropical nights — nights when temperatures do not fall below 20 degrees. Low cloud and scattered morning fog may pass over parts of the islands before skies clear. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet, expects temperatures to rise across the archipelagos.

The forecast points to largely settled weather, with little cloud or clear skies and no rain across most of Spain. On the Balearic Islands, winds are expected to remain mostly light, blowing from the east and south.

The warmer night-time temperatures are also forecast for parts of south-west Spain and the southern Mediterranean coast. Elsewhere, daytime highs will rise most sharply in north-eastern mainland Spain and the archipelagos.
