Mallorca trotting Grand Prix goes to Lluna de Llevant
Lluna de Llevant took Mallorca’s trotting Grand Prix in an evening race at Son Pardo racecourse in Palma, Mallorca, with A. Frontera driving. Kiwi Duran, driven by B. Masacaró, finished second. Kirin BS and F. Bennasar took third.
C. Riera M. also won the Club Dames del Trot IV Memorial Maria Garcias final. Jagermeister Co. Jazzy Effel (Fr) E1, driven by A. Vaquer S., came second, while Ibia Js and I. Garau finished third.
Pedro Bestard, Mallorca Council’s councillor for Environment, Rural Affairs and Sport, attended alongside Gaspar Oliver, president of the Mallorca Institute of Equestrian Sport, and Juan Antonio Rosselló, president of the Balearic Trotting Federation. Bestard said trotting has deep roots in Mallorca’s history, traditions and identity, and that the council will work to preserve and promote the sport and secure its future.
