Palma gains extra TUI flights from Belgium for 2027
Palma de Mallorca will gain extra TUI Airline services from Belgium in summer 2027. The island capital is one of five Spanish destinations included in the carrier’s Belgian expansion, announced on 24 September 2026. TUI has not said how many additional flights or seats Palma will receive.
Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Alicante and Reus are also included in the extra services from Belgium. Elsewhere in Spain, TUI Airline will launch Málaga links from Düsseldorf and Hannover, while increasing capacity to Tenerife South from Germany compared with summer 2026.
A larger European summer programme
Across its European network, TUI Airline plans 17 million seats on 84,000 flights for summer 2027, up 4.6% on summer 2026. The carrier will introduce 25 new routes from the UK, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, creating about 640,000 extra seats.
Eleven of those routes will bring destinations into TUI Airline’s network for the first time. The company says it has also altered about a third of its routes through changes to capacity, frequency or aircraft allocation.
First programme under new model
The 2027 summer schedule is the first prepared under TUI Airline’s new commercial framework. It combines demand from TUI tour operators, external partners and customers booking flights on their own.
Chief Commercial Officer Peter Glade said the model allows the airline to allocate capacity more efficiently across its European network while keeping TUI’s tour operator business at the centre of its strategy.
