United Aviation buys Mallorcair at Palma Airport

Mallorcair changes hands at Palma Airport, Mallorca, on 15 September after United Aviation Services buys the private-flight services company. United Aviation Services is part of Stellair Group. The deal also brings Ibizair at Eivissa Airport into the group.

Both businesses provide aircraft handling and FBO services for operators and owners of private and business aircraft. Stellair Group says the purchase extends its reach in Spain and strengthens its executive aviation services in destinations with strong tourist and business activity.

Palma base has operated since 1991

Mallorcair has worked at Palma Airport since 1991. Alongside its handling work, it runs its own FBO facility inside the general aviation terminal, with facilities for passengers and crews.

Ibizair has operated at Eivissa Airport for more than three decades. Its work includes handling and FBO management for private and business aircraft, as well as support for passengers and crews, flight coordination, catering, customs and immigration services.

Grant Thornton advises the sellers

Grant Thornton advised the shareholders of both Mallorcair and Ibizair throughout the sale. The firm acted as the sellers’ exclusive adviser and provided strategic and financial advice during the transaction.

For Stellair Group, the acquisition forms part of a growth plan to build its services network for international operators and private customers in key markets.
