Balearic Islands president Marga Prohens says García’s family had spent days waiting to learn where she was. In a post on X, Prohens calls her death an “irreplaceable loss” and says the Balearic government will make all necessary support available to her family and friends.

Francina Armengol, president of Spain’s Congress of Deputies, also offers her condolences. She says it is hard to find words for the death of someone so young. Her thoughts are with García’s family and loved ones, as well as the others killed in the crash.
