The decree will also start special procedures for victims who are temporarily unable to work. The government plans to open offices offering personal support at its delegations and sub-delegations in the autonomous communities of those affected.

Sánchez again offered condolences to the loved ones of those killed. He promised support through their grief, the paperwork and the search for answers. The government approved a similar aid decree after the train crash in Adamuz, in Córdoba province.
