Balearic used car prices rise 2.7% despite monthly dip

Used cars in the Balearic Islands cost an average of 12,897 euros in September: 2.7% more than a year earlier, according to figures from Ancove. But the average price falls 4.3% compared with the previous month.
Across Spain, the average is 13,403 euros, up 3.2% year on year. The monthly fall is smaller nationally, at 0.5%.
Cars more than eight years old average 10,295 euros in the Balearics, up 0.7% from a year earlier but down 3.1% on the month. Across Spain, they average 11,178 euros, up 6.2% year on year and 0.3% on the month. These older cars account for 67.5% of the Balearic used-car market, compared with 64.6% across Spain.
