Mallorca and the other Balearic Islands have 4,382 active cases of violence against women between them: 59 are rated high risk. Another 798 are rated medium risk and 3,525 low risk. Spain’s Interior Ministry reported the figures on 3 November 2026 from its VioGén system, which records cases of violence against women.

Across Spain, the ministry lists 106,992 active cases, including 20 rated at extreme risk and 1,026 at high risk. In the Balearics, figures for 31 October show 58 cases involving minors. Women aged 31 to 45 account for 2,081 cases, the largest age group.

Children also feature in the figures. In 2,063 Balearic cases, the women have children who are minors. In 68 cases, those children are at risk of being attacked by their mother’s abuser. The statistics also mark 700 cases involving children as “of special relevance”.

The figures cover the Balearic Islands as a whole. They do not show how many of the cases are on Mallorca.
