Vivanta closes: patients urged to save treatment records

Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

Dental patients with unfinished treatment at Clínicas Dentales Vivanta are being urged to gather every document linked to their care. On 16 September 2026, Palma’s Directorate-General for Benefits, Pharmacy and Consumer Affairs said invoices, estimates, payment proof, receipts and emails should be kept. Vivanta is in insolvency proceedings, known in Spain as concurso de acreedores.

People affected can also ask for the personal records held by the clinics. A request sent to the company’s headquarters can help show which treatment or service was agreed but has not been provided.

If treatment was financed

Where the clinic arranged a consumer loan linked to the treatment, customers can tell the finance provider that the activity has closed. They can ask for further payment demands to stop and seek repayment of the share already paid for care that was never delivered.

Any complaint should go straight to the lender’s customer service department, with copies of documents showing the agreement with both the clinic and the finance provider. Those who paid by credit card are advised to ask their bank whether the charges can be cancelled.

Insolvency details to be published

The directorate will post information about the insolvency administrator and contact details on the Consumer Portal. It can also provide information on consumer rights and on making a complaint or report.

Appointments with the directorate can be requested through the Consumer Portal.
