Mallorca volunteering: courses and support return

On Mallorca, people looking to volunteer can choose from two online introductory course sessions each month as training and advice return across the Balearic Islands. The Balearic Islands Volunteering Platform said on Tuesday, 29 September, that it had restarted its programme. Organisations and public authorities can also ask for help.

Courses for helpers and groups

The platform offers its basic volunteering course online twice a month, along with easy-to-read materials and in-person sessions across the islands. Organisations can get training in managing teams, planning volunteer work and attracting younger helpers. Online seminars cover generative artificial intelligence, data protection and tax matters for associations.

Advice beyond the classroom

Organisations can seek individual advice on legal, administrative and volunteer-management questions. People starting out can use the platform’s search tool, while young people can find information about volunteering in Europe. Public authorities can ask for advice on policies that support volunteering.

The platform also brings member organisations together to share experience and works with public authorities on volunteering policy. During the school year, it runs activities to raise awareness of volunteering, particularly in schools. People, organisations and authorities can reach it through its website, by email or phone, or on social media.
