Mallorca: Vox wants locals first for homes and aid
In Palma, Mallorca, Vox offers to negotiate the Balearic Islands’ 2027 budget on Wednesday, 21 October, but demands priority for “people from here” in housing and aid. Its spokeswoman in the Balearic Islands parliament, Manuela Cañadas, makes the offer to regional president Marga Prohens on the second day of the General Policy Debate. Vox is also willing to negotiate the spending ceiling, Cañadas says.
The offer is “not a blank cheque”, she warns. Vox also wants less regulation and tougher action against illegal immigration. Cañadas demands that the government spend “not one euro” on international cooperation while a citizen of the Balearic Islands needs the money.
If Prohens’ government resists demands from the left and continues its reforms, Cañadas says, it will find its “most reliable partner” in Vox.
