Voters on Mallorca, Spain, face a 29 November general election: Vox is urging them to avoid postal ballots and vote in person. Manuela Cañadas, the party’s spokeswoman in the Balearic parliament, made the call in Palma on Monday, 5 October, hours after the snap election was announced.
Cañadas said she feared Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez might try “any trick” to stay in power. She also urged voters not to trust opinion polls. Asked who would stand for Vox in the Balearic Islands, she said the party’s national leadership would decide.
