Mallorca: over 100 discuss jobs for vulnerable people
Mallorca, 6 October: more than 100 employment advisers and third-sector representatives meet at Casa Esment to discuss how to help vulnerable people find work. The Balearic Centre for Employment Guidance, Entrepreneurship, Support and Innovation organised the event, called ‘Guidance with Impact’.
They shared approaches to employment advice and discussed how to adapt their methods, work with other organisations and take gender into account. Esment, Fundació Deixalles and Fundació Adecco were among the groups taking part. The discussions formed part of programmes co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus, according to the Balearic government’s labour department.
María Luján Olivera, director of the Balearic Employment Service, opened the meeting. Margalida Darder, director-general for work-life balance and equality at work, closed it by praising advisers who give direct support to people most in need and help match their skills to jobs.
