Mallorca: Andratx shops can cut waste fees by up to 12%

Mallorca’s town of Andratx is cutting waste charges for shops by 10 to 12 per cent next year if they join a waste inspection scheme. Homes that sign up will also get a reduction, though the council has not said how much. The town council announced the approved cuts on Thursday, 29 October.
The council says the discounts recognise residents’ efforts to sort and manage waste properly. It says taking part is key to improving the service and making waste management more efficient.
