Palma, Mallorca: Two young men snatch a high-end watch from a man walking home through Son Armadams at about 00.30 on Saturday. They approach him from behind. One grabs his arm and pulls off the watch before both flee on an electric scooter.
The Spanish National Police say several patrols searched the area. At about 02.30, officers spotted two young men on a scooter along the seafront who matched the victim’s description. The pair tried to avoid the patrol, but officers stopped them on Avenida Argenina and found the watch in a bag at the front of the scooter.
Police arrested both men on suspicion of robbery with violence and returned the watch to its owner.
