Palma water works: €1.5m overhaul

Work on Palma’s drinking-water and sewage networks starts on Wednesday on Avenida Argentina, between Carrer Indústria and Avenida Gabriel Roca. The three-month project will put new pipes in the right-hand traffic lane. City water company Emaya is carrying out the work as part of the first phase of network renewal in Santa Catalina.

Palma City Council says the overhaul covers infrastructure serving a strategic area of the city. It is intended to improve the capacity and reliability of both water supply and sewage services, matching current and future needs.

More than €1.5 million has been set aside for the planned renewal of the existing networks. The council says the work is part of a wider push to modernise essential city infrastructure.
