Mallorca weather warning: heavy showers on Tuesday

Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, faces heavy showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday, with rain that could become locally very heavy. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued rain and thunderstorm warnings for Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera. The weather system known as DANA Adam is keeping eastern mainland Spain and the Balearics unsettled.
Showers could be strong across the Balearics and Catalonia, with significant rainfall possible. Barcelona and Girona face orange warnings for rain.
The rain is expected to ease from south to north through the day. Daytime highs will fall in the Balearics, while a moderate southerly wind turns westerly.
