On Mallorca, more than 200 women in business meet at the congress centre in Palma on Tuesday to share ideas on starting companies and building careers. Meetings and a chance to show their work

The programme includes talks, panel discussions and 180 arranged business meetings. At 35 pop-up spaces, participants can show their products, services and projects.

Catalina Salom, director of the Balearic Women’s Institute, welcomed the women alongside Joana Manresa of the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce. Salom said progress on equality also means making use of women’s talent and improving the quality of work. More talks follow in the afternoon, including one by government economy director Cati Barceló. Families director Catalina Isern is due to close the forum.

Help for women starting businesses

The institute and the chamber also work together on Dona Impuls, a programme for women setting up businesses. In 2025, it helped 229 women, produced 117 business plans and saw 47 participants register as self-employed.

The programme advises women on business plans, funding and the steps needed to start trading.
