A home for vulnerable women in Ciutadella, Menorca, is full: the town council plans €4,000 to keep the project running in 2026. On Wednesday, 21 October 2026, the council said it was moving to renew its funding agreement with the Fons Menorquí de Cooperació.

The project has operated since 2022. It supports migrant women, women who live in the homes where they work, and women who have faced exploitation or sexual violence. It also helps others in vulnerable circumstances who struggle to access existing support.

The council says the home’s full occupancy shows why the project needs to continue. It has provided funding each year since 2022; the proposed agreement would extend that support through 2026.
