Workplace accident in Palma: worker hit by reversing lorry

A workplace accident left a worker injured at about 10.30am on Saturday, 22 August, in the car park of the Carrefour shopping centre on Calle General Riera in Palma, Mallorca. The man was struck by a lorry as it reversed and became trapped beneath the vehicle.

The 061 emergency medical service stabilised him at the scene before taking him to Son Espases University Hospital with multiple injuries. Police sources said he was working when he was hit, and the circumstances are being investigated as a possible workplace accident.
