The result puts Spain on the podium after its third meeting with Germany in the past month, following a warm-up match and their group-stage clash at the tournament.

Spain build an early lead

Martín opens the game with a three-pointer and Spain race into a 22-9 lead. Mariona Ortiz answers with another three, but Alexandra Wilke hits back for Germany as the first quarter ends 25-15.

Germany level at 33-33 through Nyara Sabally, Leonie Fiebich and Alexis Peterson. Martín and Raquel Carrera respond, however, and Spain go into half-time 40-36 ahead.

Final-quarter burst secures bronze

Spain stretch the gap to 55-39 after the break, with Carrera continuing to score. Germany cut the deficit, but Spain still lead 61-51 going into the last quarter.

Two early three-pointers from Maite Cazorla and María Conde shut the door on the hosts. Spain win the final period 20-7 to secure bronze, with Carrera adding 15 points.
