Mallorca: 21 Playa de Palma hotels to stay open all year
At Playa de Palma, Mallorca, 21 hotels plan to stay open all year, with room for about 6,000 guests. Palma Beach, a group of local hospitality businesses, gave the forecast on 26 October 2026. Its chief executive, Mika Ferrer, says 27 hotels will still be open in December, before further closures over Christmas and in January bring the number down to 21.
The year-round hotels include three-, four- and five-star properties. Ferrer puts the outlook down to the climate and the area's appeal beyond summer. The group expects older visitors from Europe, including people coming to cycle or paddle surf.
Restaurants along the first and second rows back from the sea are also expected to stay open through winter, along with leisure and service businesses. Ferrer says the hotels staying open should help those businesses keep working too.
