CALLED LO TORT – 1st Amateur Theatre Competition

Performance of “ANOMENAT LO TORT” by SOM Teatre as part of the 1st Amateur Theatre Competition at Teatre de Petra. SYNOPSIS: “Anomenat Lo Tort” tells the story of Simó Ballester, Lo Tort, leader of the revolt of the Forans in Mallorca in the 15th century. Faced with the abuses of the nobility and royal power, the peasants rise up to demand justice. Despite their struggle and the support of the people, the revolt is defeated. Simó Tort is executed and becomes a symbol of resistance and popular dignity.
