For the final section, leave the main approach road, enter the local street network, and head specifically for Carrer Huguet de Mataplana.

Allowing additional time to find the correct entrance is therefore more helpful than planning an especially tight journey.

From Palma

From central Palma, the route follows the Ma-1. Santa Ponça is 20 kilometers away by road, with a journey time of around 27 minutes. Here too, the measured route ends within the town. From there, continue along local streets to Carrer Huguet de Mataplana; the full destination address should be used for this final section.

The Ma-1 is also the main connection between Palma and southwest Mallorca. Anyone planning to attend the service should not treat the calculated driving time as the latest sensible departure time: leaving the main road, finding the way through town, and locating the entrance all require additional time.

By Bus and on Foot

Several bus stops are located in the built-up area around the church. Carrer Santa Ponça and Ramon de Montcada are useful reference points for further navigation. The most suitable connection depends on the departure point and the timetable currently in effect. After getting off the bus, keep the church’s full address readily available on a phone or in a note, as the name alone may not lead to a clearly visible main entrance.

The same practical principle applies when arriving by car: do not enter only “Santa Ponça” as the destination, but navigate all the way to Carrer Huguet de Mataplana. The main route details will reliably lead into the town, but they do not solve the navigation challenges of the final section.
