Sa Pobla, Mallorca: Biel Payeras, 32, to run for mayor
In Sa Pobla, Mallorca, 32-year-old Biel Payeras is MÉS per Sa Pobla’s candidate for mayor in the May 2027 election. The party presented him at Can Planes on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
Payeras has a degree in political science, sits on Sa Pobla town council and has served on the Council of Mallorca since 2025. The party says he brings experience of local government to a new generation of leadership.
Maria Magdalena Amengual led the presentation, where Antoni Simó Tomàs also spoke. Tomàs headed the party’s candidacy in Sa Pobla in the 2015, 2019 and 2023 elections. Lluís Apesteguia, general coordinator of MÉS per Mallorca, attended, and the party recognised those who had led its Sa Pobla candidacies over the years.
