Mallorca worker impaled by metal bar in site fall

In Banyalbufar, Mallorca, a 26-year-old construction worker remains in intensive care after falling into a hole at a building site on Wednesday and being pierced in the abdomen by a metal bar. The accident happened at about 11.50 am, according to the emergency medical service SAMU and the Civil Guard. They said he fell two metres into the hole.
The worker also suffered a penetrating wound to his shoulder. He remains in a serious but stable condition in the intensive care unit at Son Espases Hospital.
