Cala Rajada restaurant gets 15-year harbour lease

Cala Rajada harbour on Mallorca is to get a restaurant operator for 15 years, with work to prepare the premises due to finish in March 2027. On 16 September, the board of Ports de Balears awarded the concession to Limpiezas Generales de Baleares SL. The company will use 486.37 square metres and pay an annual fee of €92,640 plus VAT.

The lease cannot be extended. The restaurant unit stands in the harbour service area in Cala Rajada, Capdepera.

Refurbishment and solar panels

Ports de Balears has also approved the June 2026 design and works plan to divide up and adapt the premises for restaurant use. The work must be complete by March 2027.

The plan includes photovoltaic panels on an aluminium structure held in place by counterweights, avoiding holes in the roof’s waterproof layer. The company must ensure the work does not affect the building’s watertight seal or any existing guarantees.

Two firms entered the tender

Ports de Balears launched the public tender after its board approved the process in January 2026. Two companies submitted bids, and the evaluation committee recommended Limpiezas Generales de Baleares SL under the tender rules.

Before work starts, the company must tell Ports de Balears who its responsible technician will be and give the start date. Once the work is finished, it must submit the required certificate for approval. Fixed installations will pass to Ports de Balears when the 15-year concession ends.
