Two E-bike riders hurt as car hits Mallorca Ma-1

Two women riding electric bicycles were taken to Hospital Son Espases on Saturday after a car hit them on Mallorca’s Ma-1 motorway. The collision happened at kilometre four on the road linking Palma and Andratx. One of the women needed a tube placed through her mouth into her airway before the transfer to hospital.

The SAMU 061 emergency service said the car appears to have struck the two riders from behind. Both suffered injuries to different parts of their bodies.

Two advanced life-support ambulances, a logistics vehicle and a Delta vehicle were sent to the scene. Medical crews treated both women there before taking them to Hospital Son Espases.
