Woman, 40, drowns at Mallorca's sa Calobra beach

A 40-year-old woman of foreign nationality drowned while swimming at sa Calobra beach in Escorca, Mallorca, on Saturday. An emergency call was received at about 13.00. People at the beach began CPR, according to the Balearic Islands emergency medical service, SAMU 061.
A medical helicopter and an advanced life-support ambulance were sent to the beach. Crews continued the resuscitation attempt but could not save her life.
