Mallorca e-scooter crash sends woman to hospital
In Palma, Mallorca, a head-on e-scooter crash sends a woman to hospital with a bleeding cut to her leg. The two riders collided on Thursday on the cycle lane of Calle Biniamar. Both fell and suffered multiple bruises, Palma Local Police said on Tuesday.
The woman was travelling towards central Palma when she saw the man coming towards her on the wrong side of the cycle lane. Cars were moving on the road to her right, so she steered left. At the same time, the man steered to his right to return to his side of the lane. Their paths met, and the scooters collided.
An ambulance crew treated the man at the scene. The woman was taken to Hospital Son Llàtzer. A traffic accident unit has drawn up a report to establish responsibility and make it available to the insurers.
