Ibiza roads: 2.2 million euros for two projects
The road to Benirràs cove in Ibiza is set for repairs under a 2.2 million-euro funding deal covering two local road projects. The Ibiza Island Council said on 8 October 2026 that its president, Vicent Marí, and Sant Joan de Labritja mayor Tania Marí had signed the agreement.
The council will contribute up to 798,603 euros towards the Benirràs road project, which has a total budget of 1.1 million euros. The work will tackle damaged sections of road surface and the drainage that runs across the route. The road links the cove to the roundabout where the roads towards Sant Miquel and Sant Joan meet.
The second project is in Sant Miquel de Balansat. The council will provide up to 1.4 million euros to open street J and carry out the road and services work set out in the municipality’s plan.
