Ibiza crash: biker critically injured as driver flees
Responsible for this content: Frank Menze
A crash on the island of Ibiza leaves a 35-year-old Italian motorcyclist critically injured, and a driver involved flees. The rider is taken to Son Espases University Hospital, the Pityusic Health Area says. On Thursday, a judge orders the arrested driver held before trial, with the option of €30,000 bail.
The woman tests positive for alcohol and drugs. Legal sources say the judge has also withdrawn her driving licence. If she pays bail, she must report to court every 15 days and cannot leave the territory.
